The 2020 Adventure
This road we have traveled as a country and world has been uncertain and often times heartbreaking. I know that some of you have lost loved ones and dear friends to COVID 19 and I want to first and foremost offer my deepest condolences to you and your families.
Because our economy was very strong heading into the pandemic, to include the efforts of our U.S. government and Federal Reserve, this definitely reduced the economic effects on the stock market in the midst of COVID 19. The first half of 2020 had some steep declines, but the second half had surprising rebounds for several sectors, especially portfolio’s in the large cap growth arena. The surprise for me was the strong returns in core bond holdings.
Down the road in 2021
We appear to be recovering from the pandemic and I offer conservative optimism for the stock market in 2021. The economy will be helped by our business’ getting fully reopened and vaccines offered to employees. Unless there is some catastrophic event, I do not see a cliff type of fall in the stock market or a double dip in recession. I am moving forward knowing that we need to be prepared for volatility due to the recent quick hikes in the evaluations of stock.
Whether you are an existing client or a potential client my strategy is to make individualized recommendations and portfolio adjustments with sensitivity to the above aforementioned. My desire is to help you achieve your goals and reach your financial vision inside and outside of a pandemic.
I'm available in person or virtually to review your current portfolio or help you create your financial vision and establish your goals as a new client. Go to the 'schedule a meeting' button and request a time that works best for you.
Hoping that all of you have a healthy, safe and prosperous 2021.
